OUR Mission
Jefferson Youth Basketball (JYB) provides opportunities for boys and girls in grades 5 through 8 to develop basketball skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character through organized competition and instruction. The program is committed to providing a positive learning environment that supports player development, fosters a lifelong appreciation for the game of basketball, and prepares participants for future athletic opportunities.

2026-2027 Season important dates
Boys tryouts: 07/25/2026 and 08/08/2026, Jefferson High School Gym 2, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.
Girls tryouts: 08/15/2026 and 08/22/2026, Jefferson High School Gym 1, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Youth Basketball 2026 - 2027 Registration is open!
Jefferson Youth Basketball teams participate in the Wisconsin Development League. Specifically, our teams are placed within the Madison area Badger Development League. BDL is a developmental league that offers multiple levels of play to fit the needs of the communities in and around the Madison area. League schedules, rules of play and other information related to your teams can be found on there official site. BDL has an app that provides great information on game schedules and locations as well as results.
